Have to say Hamilton has to feel good about making the team. He's apparantly a big enough star he doesn't even have to go on road trips.

How did Jerry Gil become a CFer so fast?

At least Deno is hitting in the upper half of the order.

He's played quite a bit, often staying in for whole games. He's probably just getting a one game pass.

    Well put.

I have a hard time being interested in the spring training games where Hamilton isn't in the lineup, Castro and Crosby just add to that apathy.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

4-9 in the order is an opposing pitcher's dream.

Hamilton might be subbed in later. I doubt that lineup will play the whole game, if previous games are any example. Maybe as DH? Conine is not going to play nine innings.

According to C. Trent's blog, if I'm reading it right, those are the only guys who made the trip

I seriously doubt that. Only nine position players? I think Trent just didn't bother posting the travel roster. That's just the starting lineup.

There just giving guys playing time as needed. It's still good to have baseball back.
