Loved seeing this in a Monterey Newspaper. Congratulations to Kim Reeder!

A decision to give up swinging the bat is paying immediate dividends for Kim Reeder.

Giving her full attention to pitching, the Ohio State sophomore tossed her first collegiate no-hitter last week.

Reeder followed that up with a two-hitter in the Magic City Classic, earning all-tournament honors for the Buckeyes.

Earlier this spring, Reeder earned wins against Cal and BYU, both of which are in the Top 25.

Reeder is 5-2 with a 3.03 earned run average. Last year she was named the top scholar athlete in softball at Ohio State with a 3.8 grade point average.

Reeder pitched Notre Dame to three Central Coast Section titles, compiling more than 80 wins in her prep career.
