Game Thread - 3/16 vs. Bluebirds Rain Out

    Yahoo! First gamethread.

    Denorfia 9
    Gonzalez 6
    Hamilton DH
    Conine 3
    Ross 2
    Castro 5
    Hopper 7
    Wise 8
    Machado 4

    Milton P

Good to see Wonderboy back in action... and in the 3 spot even.

...of course, with this lineup, he'll be the only one capable of producing anything...

This team would be bad enough to get us relocated to Miami

If we're going to make our cuts, we need to nix Wise and Machado already. Neither will make the team... (hopefully)

    More from Trent:

Belisle, Weathers and Hermanson are also supposed to pitch today

Looks like Jay Bruce will play in another exhibition game. He's out warming up with the major league squad and has the major league pants on (the big league squad wears the pinstriped white pants, while the minor leaguers wear grey.) Homer was over with the minor league pitchers.

Eddie Guardado threw off the mound this morning. Just saw him for a second and he gave me a thumbs up. Then he said, "Kremcheck did a good job," referring to Tim Kremcheck, the Reds doctor who performed Tommy John surgery on his left elbow last September. Many pitchers report increased velocity after Tommy John surgery, so Guardado had been joking that if he wasn't throwing 95 today, he was going to be pretty upset at Kremcheck.

I said to Eddie, "You up to 98 today?" Eddie responded, "felt like it."

Dude had a huge smile on his face, which is far from unusual. But today there was a good reason behind it.

I don't get the Gonzalez at 3rd thing either...

I sure hope we never see a lineup like this in the regular season.

MLB.com says Halladay's pitching for the Jays today, should be interesting to see how Hamilton does against him.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Gonzalez at third? Did I miss something?
It's absolutely pathetic that people can't have an opinion from actually watching games and supplementing that with stats. If you voice an opinion that doesn't fit into a black/white box you will get completely misrepresented and basically called a tobacco chewing traditionalist...

The first good curveball Hamilton sees he will rip it into left center. He stays back so well he'll get a long look at it. My prediction.

    6 means SS,5 is 3rd.

    It's spring training.

He may have to play there in an emergency during the season.

Better to get a look at it know than later.

What you posted says Gonzalez 6 and Castro 5, which would make Castro the 3B.

The need somebody to make the long bus rides on the road during Spring Training.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I selfishly hope that lineup means all the regulars are playing tomorrow, a game I get to watch on the real tv.
