Freel singles up the middle...
Freel singles up the middle...
So did Marty ask Narron the big question? Milton as the #5?
Somebody tell me to stop doing PBP and I will
Decent start for Lohse. Let's hope he can keep it up.
I'm just like everybody else. I have two arms, two legs and 4,000 hits."
-Pete Rose
The Natural punches a single to left... WOW, that was beautiful!
Yes he did, and I understood Narron's answer to be along these lines:
"We've talked about it, but the 5th starter may be needed for bullpen help and Milton is not ideal for that."
Freel and Hamilton single....no outs
Hatteberg was scratched from the lineup and Hamilton batted second in his place. I think John Fay said Scott had some sort of minor injury.
Which, frankly, was as annoying as it gets. Why not plan for your top four pitchers being decent? Why plan for one of them to be the execrable Milton, and hold back Belisle or Saarloos to clean up his mess? Why not play for, I don't know, NO MESS?
Another hit.
Bases loaded!
BP Grounds sharply to Jeter who dove but couldn't make the play, infield single... Bases jacked for Dunner...
