I have a little more for Loshe...mostly because he's still rather young I think, and may be able to be fixed. He also has better stuff.

Milton on the other hand.....can't see much hope for him.

    BP with the one-pitch AB.
All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

Hobbs' second at-bat: Ball one, foul, slider inside- ball two, ball three, ball four.

It's amazing, this guy's plate discipline. It was his demonstrated weakness when he was first drafted. You wouldn't have expected him to suddenly learn to work the count like that, given what he's been up to before this year.

Brantley said he hit it right on the fat part of the bat, but it was held up by the wind. What bothers me and many others is when players hack at the first pitch and don't make solid contact.

Dunn pops to Jeter... Dunn's ball goes about 100 feet in the air and Grande says "Dunn got under it a bit."

There's a 50/50 chance of Lohse pitching well this season. And there's only a 10% chance of that.

Hey, I was just trying to find something positive about the guy. I honestly don't expect much from him this season. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

You are correct that it was a very small sample size, but if he can replicate his stats as a Red to a full season, he may be able to post a sub 4.00 ERA. His K:BB was very nice, and he limited the HRs. Now that was the best he has ever pitched in his career, so I expect him to regress a bit, but he should be at worst an average starter IMO.

Krivsky says he has no idea if this years team is better than last years and we have a long list of nagging injuries...
