Re: Top 10 All-Time Television Shows

can't break the tie for #1, the rest are not in order

1-The Simpsons & The Andy Griffith Show
    The Big Valley
    Star Trek (original)
    Johnny Quest (original)
    MASH (the Frank Burns years)
    Wild Wild West
    All In The Family
    Gilligan's Island-(I know)
    X-Files
    That 70's Show

honorable mention-Welcome Back Kotter, White Shadow, Leave it to Beaver, The Honeymooners, Crossing Jordan, Cheers, Happy Days, The Twilight Zone, The Banana Splits
More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

    8. I Love Lucy

Homicide is number two or three on my list. One of the reasons I haven't settled it enough to post. I know St. Elsewhere, Homicide, the X-Files and Fawlty Towers somehow make up the top four, but after that, I get confused. Lost is in there somewhere, as is Jeopardy. Star Trek: TNG? Dr. Who? Monty Python? The Bob Newhart Show? The Prisoner? The Civil War (I think it counts)? Hill Street Blues? Picket Fences? The Practice? The Simpsons (has to have a place in the top 10)?

    Too many choices.

Another classic. Aaron Sorkin's best work, IMO. Not too overreaching or preachy like "The West Wing" and "Studio 60."

Alot of excellent shows listed so far. The only one I would add is Fred Savage in 'The Wonder Years'.

Re: Top 10 All-Time Television Shows

Mission Impossible and Northern Exposure have been mentioned, and my list of top ten shows grows to 18.

then there's the short-lived Adventures of Briscoe County Jr., which still earns a spot....

    and Get Smart....

    Oh, someone mentioned SCTV....

    Okay. This is impossible.
