    Sleeper SS

I have Bobby Crosby at SS, and no offense to any A's fans but I HATE him

He is constantly injured, and I don't know if he will ever recover from that back injury. Anyways, he is all I have at shortstop right now.

    R (2), H (1), 2B (2), HR (4), RBI (2), SB (1), BB (1)

    Here is my current lineup:

    C McCann
    1B Swisher
    2B Cantu
    3B Zimmerman
    SS Crosby
    IF Encarnacion
    LF Freel
    CF Jones
    RF Cuddyer
    OF Bonds
    BN Baldelli
    BN Molina
    BN Markakis

    Free Agents:

    Juan Uribe
    Wilson Betemit
Alex Gonzalez (I think he will hit a decent amount of HRs this season)
    Omar Vizquel
    Khali Greene

No one really sticks out that I'd like to have. Should I just look for a trade?

I'd take Greene over Crosby at this point.

    Greene definitely.

I would dump Molina for him.

Agreed. You don't need to carry two catchers.

    Greene, then Betemit
More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

I agree with others here. Pick up Greene. Which team in your league has Troy Glaus. He should be SS eligible in this league and maybe someone will deal him?

Thats creepy. I just traded for Glaus.

    Crosby/Verlander for Snell/Glaus

I think I got the better end, although Verlander will probably end up tearing it up this year.

Is Cuddyer eligible at 2B? If so, I'd look to move Cantu for a RFer.

That may be something you can think about for awhile though, and still be ok.

    Re: Sleeper SS

I read that BJ Upton might get some starts at 2B, so I might just drop Cantu.

I picked up Adrian Gonzalez, put him at 1B, moved Swisher to LF, and Freel to 2B.

Fixed that problem. Now I just need another closer.

    SP Webb
    SP Harang
    SP Oswalt
    SP Burnett
    RP KRod
    RP Wainwright
    P Snell
    P Torres
    BN Cain

    Looking at :

Crawford & BJ Ryan for Bonds & Oswalt

Cantu is very dropable right now. I highly doubt you'd be able to get anything worth a damn for him in a trade.

In your format I really don't think Crawford/Ryan is worth Bonds/Oswalt. I do not know exactly what points you get for pitching but here is what I came up with with Crawford-Bonds.

Crawford scored 722 points in this point format last year and Bonds had 595. However, Bonds had 155 less total ABs than Crawford. I can almost promise that Oswalt outscored BJ Ryan (even with Ryan being lights out). If SBs counted as 2 points in this league I would do the deal but I'm not so sure in this format it's worth giving up Oswalt.

Of course if you feel Bonds will be hurt all year and only play in 100 games then the deal might be worth making.

    Re: Sleeper SS

betemit is where you need to be. 18 hr in 370 AB last year and this year he will be the starting 3B for the year. at least until august or so. everyone was thinking that he would lose it to andy laroche but laroche so far is very unimpressive in st with something like a 180 clip through 60 AB.

also betemit in most leagues is available for 2b 3b and SS.

sleeper SS--- Betancourt from seattle. probably get him for next to nothing in trade if needed.
