First Fay says we're shopping Cormier...

Now, Hal McCoy kicks dirt right in the face of our favorite Eric Milton:

Then there is Milton, the Human Home Run Haven. He is 0-1 with a 6.59 ERA, giving up 23 hits in 13 2/3 innings and opponents are hitting .354 against him. And that doesn't include his latest performance.

Facing a Pirates team that had "burg" in its name — but wasn't Pittsburgh — Milton gave up five home runs, two doubles, 11 hits and six runs in six innings. It was against Lynchburg, a Class A Pittsburgh affiliate. The wind was blowing out, but six homers? To a Class A team?
Then:

There are those, however, who wonder. If the Reds are serious about winning, isn't it time to give up on Milton — trade him, if possible, or even eat his $8.5 million — and put both Livingston and Belisle in the rotation.

Wouldn't that give the fans a sense that the team is dedicated to winning with more than lip service?

Those guys fightin' over RZ readership today, I see...

And to think some of you question those guys' intelligence and wisdom
