The Cardinals have two good hitters in that lineup - Pujols and Rolen.
Carpenter doesn't look too good so far. He's allowed two runs on 6 hits in 3.2 inning while walking one and hitting one. That's eight baserunners in 3.2 IP. Mets lead 2-0 and have the bases loaded for LoDuca.
LoDuca 2-run single! 4-0 Mets with Beltran up.
Beltran RBI single, 5-0 Mets. Carpenter is getting hammered.
Inning finally over as Delgado groundsout into the shift.

I know it's really presemptious, but I was thinking when they went over the Cardinals rotation that this team has a good chance to be pretty bad. Kip Wells and Braden Looper in the rotation? Banking on unproven starters in Reyes and Wainwright? Jocketty's definatly rolling the dice...
