Weather forecast for 2007 Opening Day.

Hey all!! I have done this every year since I've joined the board so people can keep up with what the weather is going to be like in Cincinnati on opening day. Also I look forward to posting this every year because it means that we're only 10 days away from Reds baseball! Anywho...I know this will probably change 100 times between now and then but here's the forecast as of now for Monday, April 2nd.

    Sunny, 53°/37°, 0% precipitation.

Last year Harangatang had great info for this thread, hopefully he drops by.
Benzinger backing and calling! And the 1990 world championship series belongs to the Cincinnati Reds!

53 degrees would be an improvement over last year...that wind was too cold last year

Last year I froze (wasn't dressed properly but I still stayed the entire game, even though it was ugly). Hopefully it resembles the game from 2 years ago a little more than last year, weather and non-weather wise.

Last year was miserable, I tried to have a cookout with a bunch of friends and not only were we all freezing, but the game was awful so I was in a bad mood all day. Even if it is a high of 53, as long as it's sunny I'm good with that. I like RBAs prediction!

It used to crack me up...

The forecast for Opening Day followed an annual progression

    10 days out - 72 and sunny
7 days out - 65 and mostly sunny
5 days out - 60 and partly cloudy
3 days out - 57 and periods of clouds and sunshine
1 days out - 55 and mostly cloudy
Game Day - anybody's guess, one year we got snow, the next wild chill type cold, one year the sun actually shined, but NEVER and I mean NEVER 72 and sunny!

    EVEN BETTER UPDATE:

    Monday April 2nd

    Partly Cloudy
    High 61°/ Low 44°
    Precip. Chance 10%
    Wind: WNW 10 mph

i'm going to go check and see if WNW wind is blowing in or out of the park.
if i can figure it out i'll update it.

UPDATE: the best that i can figure, the WNW winds, look like the wind will be blowing IN the stadium from right field.

I'm here I've just been lurking more and more of late. According to current indications that's right but it is really dependent on what happens with this next system coming in. There is a low that will be dropping some bad severe weather over the Plains on Wednesday and new low will form as the first one moves off and affects the Cincinnati area this weekend. Current model runs are showing that the low will be out of the Cincinnati by Monday morning but the timing could change dramatically. Hope this helps.
