I did notice Lo Duca batting #2. I wish Jerry could see thats a good fit for Hatte as well.

Betcha Eckstein doesn't make that play without windmilling the ball around several times to get "Speed".

    Hatte's line batting 2nd last year: .215/.322/.292

    Batting 6th: .402/.515/.607

Why Miles rots on the bench is beyond me.
Probably has something to do with his complete lack of power and on-base ability.

It is interesting to note that in today's lineup Dunn is batting second. After weeks complaining about how big an idiot Narron is for batting Dunn 6th he actually bats him second. Anyone want to complain about this?

I remember one time going out to the mound to talk with Bob Gibson. He told me to get back behind the batter, that the only thing I knew about pitching was that it was hard to hit.

    Nope. I love it.

Hearing Marty complain about Dunn's inability to bunt runners over, however...

Narron is moving in the right direction slightly.
Still dont want him managing the team I root for, but so far, I only have a small complaint, but I am willing to wait to be proven wrong on it.

Don't we all want Dunn to give himself up to move runners over for BP? I especially love seeing a team give away outs early in ballgames. Playing small ball in the 1st inning makes my heart sing.

I think Marty was confused on the Dunn bunt. It wasn't to move guys over, it was to get 2 guys on base with 0 outs, which I don't mind.

I just want to throw out there that I think the Cardinals could be really bad this year. I'm not hearing the singing of praises for them so much after seeing that mess they call a team last night.
"My mission is to be the ray of hope, the guy who stands out there on that beautiful field and owns up to his mistakes and lets people know it's never completely hopeless, no matter how bad it seems at the time. I have a platform and a message, and now I go to bed at night, sober and happy, praying I can be a good messenger." -Josh Hamilton
