Is anyone watching it, what are your thoughts about it, not the best card but should have some decent fights though.

    Georges St-Pierre Vs. Matt Serra
    Roger Huerta Vs. Leonard Garcia
    Diego Sanchez Vs. Josh Koscheck
    Yushin Okami Vs. Mike Swick
    Alan Belcher Vs. Kendall Grove
    Brad Imes Vs. Heath Herring
    Thales Leites Vs. Pete Sell
    Josh Haynes Vs. Luke Cummo

I'll be watching it somewhere not sure just yet, just seeing what the interest if any there is here.

St. Pierre will crush Serra, IMO, and it won't even be close. I wouldn't be surprised to see that fight end in the first round swiftly. St. Pierre is just on top of the world right now in the WW division, and now that it appears Penn is headed back to lightweight, I think only Hughes and possibly Sanchez have a chance to swipe the belt from him.

Speaking of Sanchez, I expect him to beat Koscheck, but at the same time I'm hoping Koscheck beats him. Of course, if Koscheck wins, it'll probably be a boring lay'n pray win, whereas if the fight is exciting at all then Sanchez will probably win.

Swick/Okami is a very intriguing matchup, and I think it may be a tossup. Swick has the ability to finish Okami fast, but if it goes to the ground then Swick could be in trouble. Heath Herring also needs a good showing against Imes. He looked frustrated getting taken down repeatedly by O'Brien and needs to rebound from that disappointing loss.

In the other fights, I'll take Huerta, Grove, Leites, and Haynes.

Cool to see another MMA thread. This is probably the least interesting UFC show on paper since mid-to-late-2005 or so (UFCs 55 and 56 were neither too interesting to me), but still, it's hard if you're a real fan of the sport to not find at least a few things good on any upper-level show. Despite the probable mismatch as a main event, the second and third fights down on the card are both very intriguing to me; Sanchez-Koscheck and Swick-Okami.

    Anyhow, my picks:

-St. Pierre over Serra (agree with Cyclone, GSP just too much and probably will not make it past the second, and that's conceding the first as a feeling out period.)

-Sanchez over Koscheck (see this being another exciting decision as many of Sanchez' fights, though lay-n-pray from Koscheck could definitely come in effect and tip the decision in his way. I do think Koscheck feels the pressure to have an exciting fight though, especially with huge bonuses on PPVs going to most exciting fights of the night.)

-Swick over Okami (I really like Okami, but I've seen him rocked a few times in the past in fights from guys with hands not quite as good as Swick. That said, this is the hardest of all the fights for me to call and I would not be the least bit surprised if Yushin did win.)

-Huerta over Garcia (Huerta is an absolute monster, and maybe the brightest of all the young stars in the super deep lightweight division.)

-Herring over Imes (Herring did look bad against Jake O'Brien, but in his defense, the ligament that was pretty much missing in his knee did cause the awkward Toney-esque fighting stance and the ZERO sprawling ability he showed. I like Heath, and like his chances in a matchup with Imes, especially if he can utilize some of the submission game he used in PRIDE back in the day.)

-Leites over Sell (Leites had a disappointing debut against Martin Kampmann a few months ago, since he was considered by many the best middleweight prospect in the world, but losing to Kampmann is nothing to be ashamed of. Sell can throw leather, but Kampmann is K-1 level and he couldn't put Thales away; I like Leites chances in this bounceback match. Has potential for fight of the night.)

-Cummo over Haynes (Haynes is cutting a lot of weight to get to 170 and I could see him completely overpowering Luke, but I think Cummo is too technically skilled for him and can win a decision if not put him away via submission.)

-Davis over Spratt (I think this fight was left off the initial post, but a prelim is scheduled between Marcus Davis and Pete Spratt, and I heard there was some bad blood brewing between the two. Spratt at one time was one of the best up and coming guys, but he's getting a little long in the tooth for such a young and explosive welterweight division and I think Davis can at least win a decision, if not finish him standing.)

-Belcher over Grove (Seems just about any show has at least one fairly high profile upset, as far as name value. Grove has the name value from winning a season of the reality show, but Belcher has dynamite in his hands, and I've seen some Grove fights from before he made it into UFC, and, unless things have changed, he doesn't have a very strong chin. I see the ingredients for an upset.

Yea I was wondering if it would be worth the hassle to watch this PPV. I went to the last one in Columbus and it was worth the $200 for admission.
