Where in the World is Troy Smith?

I haven't heard or seen anything on him in a long time. He's projected to go in the 3rd to 5th round but some say he could go undrafted. Has anyone heard anything?
    Witty signature.

He's not a first round pick, so he's not going to get much press heading into the draft. Not a big deal.

(BTW, when I first read the title of this thread, my inside voice got deeper ala Carmen San Diego. I miss that show.)

I am completely befuddled by this. When is the last time a Heisman winner didn't get drafted, LET ALONE first round?

Uh folks, he'll get drafted. Most likely in the 3rd round.

And to answer your question, Jason White and that wasn't very long ago and he was picked in the later rounds.

Being undrafted, or not drafted in the first round happens quite a bit.

Wow, you would've think someone would have taken a flier on that guy, the team with the worst QB that year or something.

Also saw Weinke, that kinda helps me understand a little.

Well Eric Crouch won the Heisman as a QB... then was drafted as a WR and couldnt handle it in the NFL and quit/retired before playing a game.

You can't really count Charlie Ward on that, b/c while he won the Heisman, he had ZERO intentions of ever playing Pro Football. He knew he was going to the NBA.

You can make a pretty good argument that Charlie Ward was the best all-around athlete since Bo Jackson. Won the Heisman...had a very good NBA career. "Prime Time" has to be in that discussion as well.

Deion was never a good baseball player. Jackson was.

Deion simply didn't embarass himself, but he was--and always will be--a football player who had a hobby in baseball.
We'll burn that bridge when we get to it.

I would say he was an entertainer that happened to have talent in both football and baseball. Football moreso than baseball, obviously.

Bo Jackson was an All-Star in both sports. An absolute incredible athlete.
