    Milton Poll

I think the Reds will be in the race all season long. As a result, I think Milton will be an even bigger liability this season.

I'm not sure Castellini will hang with him if he gets beat up. We can't afford to give games away in the name of a big contract. His outing was acceptable today, IMO, but his track record isn't the best. GABP is not suitable for Milton.

He got lucky today. Those 10 hits will turn into more runs. But I don't think they're going to cut him loose. He may have some phantom injuries and end up on the DL for a while though.

Where's he going to go? He might get "DLed" but he won't leave the Reds' roster.

What if the Reds decide Homer Bailey's ready during this season while Milton continues to perform the way we've grown used to? Is Reds management going to have the stones to eat Milton's contract in the name of having a better chance to win? I say they will.

No doubt, he'll make at least 30 starts.

He'd be a 9 mil bullpenner if left to me.

Put me on record as saying he'd be a great left-handed situational guy.

I can see a DFA later in the year when the amount of money eaten won't be as high.

He'll eventually become so "disabled" that the Reds won't use him as a starter.

Would he be getting the Reds in to situations or out of them?

He will make 3 more starts, then go on the DL once again, and then come back, make one or maybe two more starts then either be DFA'ed or sent to the pen. That's this man's opinion.

Put him in the pen - make room for Saarloos or Bailey.
