Why isn't Logan Parker starting? He's more of a prospect than Louwsma.

Mike Vanderwood notes that Rafael Gonzalez has 5 pitches.
    Fastball
    Curveball
    Straight Change
    Slider
Knuckle Change (says he has never heard of anyone else throwing a similar pitch)

A knuckle-change? I'm guessing that's a knuckle ball that is thrown with the same arm slot and arm speed as his fastball? That's absolutely crazy.

By the way, I notice Esquer has started most of the games up to now. What's his deal? I just figured Eddy Rodriguez would be the Dayton catcher?

Gonzalez's stuff is supposedly just a notch below that of Homer Bailey's, however, Gonzalez has battled weight and control issues which have held him back from fulfilling his potential. Hopefully this is the year he puts it together.
