Starting pitching is real strong so far

I was looking over the starting pitching today and I came up with these numbers for the systems starting pitchers so far.

    Code:
Team IP H BB SO ERA WHIP
    Louisville 40 30 15 31 2.70 1.13
    Chattanooga 30.2 26 13 25 1.76 1.27
    Sarasota 32 32 12 12 2.81 1.37
    Dayton 20 16 4 22 1.35 1.00
    System Totals 122.2 104 44 90 2.20 1.21
The system has a combined record of 17-6 and the starting pitching has been leading the way.

It's a good start for sure, but it seems like pitching in every league is off to a strong start, majors included. Hard to be sure, but I'm guessing that a colder than usual April has made life a bit tougher on hitters.
    I'm not a system player. I am a system.

Phil Dumatrait is doing his best "Hey remember me" impression the first week.

Baseball America said in their prospect report this morning that he showed up to camp this year with an uptick in velocity. Perks my interest that's for sure.

I agree on Dumatrait. If he we have a lefty that throws upwards of 93 in AAA its always intriguing... especially since 93 is about 5 MPH faster than reports had him topping out at last year in Louisville. It also bumps his prospect rating up in my mind quite a bit.

Back to topic though the starters got it done again tonight.
    Avery 6ip, 2h, 1er, 1bb, 3k.
    Ramirez 5ip, 2h, 0r, 2bb, 4k.
