    Lumber wake up call!

I hope tonight is the night we can wake the lumber up. I have a strange feeling that 1 run with 2 hits won't be enough with Uncle Milty pitching. We should feel lucky that we have a winning record but it won't last too long if the bats don't show up soon. The pitching will give sooner than later.

Bats, they are sick. I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from bats. I offer him cigar, rum. He will come.

Of the Reds with the 9 most TPA's on the team, only TWO (Dunn and Conine) have and OPS over .705.

    Yikes.

There's no way you can be happy about the strikeouts either. I mean, they are only 4th in the NL. On the plus side, they are only 4 K's behind the league leading Rockies.

Speaking of the league leading Rockies (in K's), the guy second on that team in strikeouts is their leadoff hitter, Willy Taveras. Dunn and Ross lead the Reds in K's with 12. Leadoff hitter Ryan Freel is close with 11.

Adam Dunn has created nearly 1/4th of all the Reds runs this season, with slightly more then 10% of the TPAs.

Dude can only do so much.

Ross is tied with Dunn and Ross has 19 less ABs than Dunn.

Ross is really pressing at the plate trying to bust the slump with one swing of the bat. He needs to relax or people are really going to start get ugly in regards to him.

Ross has been a problem and I'm starting to get concerned that he may be a very costly liability this season. Is JV's defense that much worse than Ross's? At this point I would much rather see JV in there, at least he can put the ball in play.

By the way I checked out LaRue's numbers so far. He is batting .136.

Larue's numbers are awful so far but he's raking compared to Ross.

    OPS:

    Larue - .440
    Ross - .160

How many of those are HBP?
