    Props to Dumatrait.

I had some serious doubts about him coming into this season, but he has really turned things around. It looks like he's back to the way he was pitching before the serious arm injuries.

If he keeps throwing like this, he may give Krivsky an easy to decision to make about Milton.

Salmon needs to see Cincy sooner rather than later.

    Maybin has 11 walks to Bruce's 4.

Early signs that Bruce's "vaunted" plate discipline isn't so great afterall. Power wise, Maybin has 4 homers, but Bruce has more extra basehits, that is pretty even. But looks like if the trend continues, Maybin will pull ahead of Bruce as a prospect.

I'd nearly given up on Dumatrait after last year also. Good to see him back again on the prospect radar. Even if he can't crack the rotation, Cormier badly needs to be replaced.

Maybins got the walks and strikeouts going for him.

Not really. Guevara is pretty much a after thought, I can understand why.

Bruce has just as many strikeouts. Walking is a huge indicator.

Maybin is already ahead of Bruce as a prospect in most places.... not sure why as Bruce is a better hitter. I guess the stolen base things gets people excited....

Not really. Maybin has 18 strikeouts in 41 at bats. Bruce has 14 in 53 at bats. Maybin strikes out every 2.27 times he has an at bat. Bruce strikes out ever 3.79 times he has an at bat. Maybin does have a crapload of walks, which is very impressive. The guy has 11 hits in 23 times he has put the ball in play.... that is beyond ridiculous luck, and take into account that 3 were HRs that left the park (1 of his HRs is an inside the park job). Maybin has all 4 of his Home Runs off of Fort Myers, who leads the league in home runs allowed with 10. Sarasota on the otherhand has yet to allow a single HR on the year. Lakeland, who Maybin plays for, also leads the league in HRs with 14. Sarasota on the other hand has 3. Maybe Maybin has played in some of the more friendly parks while Bruce has yet to play in those parks... Still Maybin needs to not strike out so much, and I am not a guy who usually cares about strikeouts, but he is swinging and missing at an alarming rate.

Also just noticed that while Lakeland is first in HR with 14, they are last in doubles with 10. Sounds like they have been playing in small parks where their doubles are turning into home runs....

If he is still hitting by the end of April I doubt he stays in Sarasota. Right now he is destroying the baseball.
