    4/18/2007 Minor League game updates

    Dayton is playing right now. Rafael Gonzalez pitching.

    Sarasota also getting underway with Ramon Ramirez on the mound.

    Louisville goes in 15 minutes with Dumatrait on the mound.

    Chattanooga plays in 15 minutes as well with Camilo Vazquez pitching.

    Dayton update

    Rafael Gonzalez gets them 1-2-3 in the first inning. Gonzo had good control of the strikezone in the first.

    Louisville update

    OK, Louisville actually is playing now. Tyrell Godwin led off with a double. after a ground out that got him to third Joey Votto walked. Aaron Herr grounded out, Godwin scores. Mark Bellhorn walked. Louisville leads 1-0.


    Dayton Update


    Drew Stubbs fell behind 0-2 before working a walk to lead off the inning.
    Stubbs starts running and Justin Turner lines a single but Stubbs cant get to third. Runners on 1st and 2nd.
    Chris Valaika doubles, Turner to third, Stubbs scores. Dayton up 1-0.
    Francisco strikes out swinging.
    Denis Phipps doubles in 2 more. Valaika and Turner both score. Dragons lead 3-0.

    Sarasota update

    Lead 2-0 heading to the bottom of 1. Michael Griffin walked and Jeremiah Piepkorn and Daniel Dorn both hit doubles. Piepkorn is only hitting .486

    They just keep hitting. Chris Heisey had a hit, Justin Turner just singled him in. Dragons lead 4-0, with just 1 out here in the 2nd.

    Ramon Ramirez is through 2 innings. 1 hit, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts. 0 runs.

    Dayton update

    Rafael Gonzalez is through 3 innings. No runs allowed. I think he has allowed 2 hits, one of which was of the infield variety. Leading 4-0 heading to the bottom of the 3rd.

    Trailing 2-0 after 2 innings. Camilo Vazquez had gotten 5 groundball outs already to go with a strikeout.

    Dayton has a bunch of college players, it is no surprise they are doing well. Even the pitchers are of college level mostly.
