That was a close one for Shearn. I was worried for a second but he came through.

Home half of the 8th: Still 2 zip good guys.

Wes Wilkerson (30 year old who pitched for the Marlins' AAA ballclub in 2006)on to pitch for the Bats.
    Prado reaches on a walk.
Escobar grounds to Bannon at short who throws wildly into right field. Runners on 2nd and 3rd. (scored a single and an error - radio announcer disagrees saying it was an error all the way)
Bond draws a walk to load the bases.
Fifth pitcher for the Bats coming on. Jason Kershner
Clark steps in. Swing and a miss. 1 down.
Weird play. Both managers with beefs. Stay tuned. Wow. The end result is a two run sacrifice fly. Crosby hauls in a deep fly ball and falls down. Runners from 2nd and 3rd both tag to come in and score. Bats thought runner on second left early. Braves thought Crosby did not hold on to ball. Appeal at second denied. It's all tied at 2. 2 down.
Runner on first picked off. 3 down.

End of 8. All tied at 2.

Crap, I was really hoping Votto would destroy AAA so we could get rid of Hatteberg for a prospect.

give it time Selig.... Votto struggled in April last year too.... then went on to destroy the league. Not quite as bad as this year, but there are still 10 games or so left in April.
