From what I remember of him, stuff has never been a problem for him, he just had to get his head together. Closer material for sure.

Are these guys in the Reds system? If so, where?
Wasn't Vargas DFA'd by the Nats last season?

David Aardsma is in the record books as the first player listed alphabetically among all men who have ever played Major League Baseball. He beat out Hank Aaron for this distinction. I have no idea why I know this.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.
Aardsma has a cannon for an arm, he was throwing in the mid 90's as a high-schooler. I'm really happy to see him progressing. Seemed like a great kid, and like all the guys out of that program (Cherry Creek H.S.) are extremely well coached by Mark Johnson. I believe Brad Lidge and David were on the same team. Lidge had to play in the outfield because of the talent on that squad. Hochevar, Sleeth and Melancon are guys who played for his summer squad.
