Honestly, I wouldn't be totally against it this year. EE's defense is fine at 3rd, but Edwin, Hamilton, Griffey, Freel, and Dunn all in the same lineup maximizes the potential.

It would be fine with me for a few months. But I want Joey Votto in the lineup by July.

Does that mean we're out of it by July?

Any team that claims it's a pitching a defense team can not play two people out of position at the corners just to get Hamilton's bat into the line up.

Freel as and everyday third basemen might set records for errors in a season, and I don't think EE is a learn on the fly sort of guy as first base is more than just catch balls thrown to you.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

Freel isn't nearly as good at 3B as Edwin is.
School's out. What did you expect?

EE is the best 3rd baseman on the team, his troubles this year are his bat.

    He'll be fine.

Which normally happens when he focuses too much on defense.. Ask A-Rod.

We are what, 11 games in? He'll be fine too. Also, I haven't filled out his promotion slip yet either, just hoping he'll be here in July. It seems more likely to be when the 40 man expansion happens.

Didn't EE lead all MLB 3rd basemen in errors last year and only played about 2/3 of the season there?
Freel can play 3rd well enough to move EE to 1st base if thats what it will take to get them Both in the lineup, because right now it seems that Edwin may be the odd guy out here.
