And, with a slight up-tick in luck, we could be looking at a .270, .390, 48-115 monster. I bet that will have many people changing their tunes. It's too early to jump of the Dunnwagon yet, folks. Give him a chance.

If you are hoping for that from Dunn, you're going to be dissapointed year after year after year.

I guarantee the Reds will score enough runs to win this game. But they won't win it.

Better than watching the ball into the catcher's mitt and turning around and walking back to the dugout. At least with the ball in play anything can happen. Nothing can happen with a strikeout. Dunn just doesn't think about what's best for the situation.

I agree. He's not going to be any worse than Uncle Milty... and probably a reasonable amount better.

    He won't hit .260.

Here's a good expectation. Don't hit around .210 with RISP and don't challenge the strikeout record every year.

He's never thrown a full season before as a starter. I'd say he's a long shot.

I think Milton is a long shot as well. The only problem is we're paying him $9 million, so we have to pretend he's a short shot.

Ok, this in when the REDS score some runs. Hopefully Dunn hits a 3 runner.

Well, that's sort of the point. This rotation is 3/5th long shots. That's not a winning formula.

If he does that, he'll improve his numbers. If Dunn puts more balls in play, his stats will go up. Remember, he still drives in around 100 even when he's "underperforming" by your standards. A few more points with RISP should bring him up to 110 RBI or so.

And what tells who he will improve with RISP?
