    Tuesday 4-24 minor league updates

Jay Bruce isn't playing for Sarasota tonight...possible promotion to Chattanooga? I hope.

It is interesting, probably just a day off but i bet he could handle the jump.

But Sarasota just had a day off on Sunday plus Bruce is on fire at the plate right now. It wouldn't make sense to give him a day off considering those two elements.

Joey Votto is 1-for-1 tonight with his third double. That's two straight games he's doubled in...could this finally be the end up the slump?

Your right. I don't know, hopefully he isn't nursing some kind of injury. I haven't heard of one so i hope your right.

But the odds of promoting him after 2.5 weeks is VERY low.

Typically promotions don't start to June unless they feel the player can REALLY handle it. Fisher, I could see considering his age. Bruce is only 20 years old.

Rough going right now, all the teams are losing.
Dayton trails 2-0 and has yet to get a hit.
    Sarasota is down 3-0.
    Chattanooga down 2-0.
    Louisville down 2-1.

    Dayton update

Chris Valaika drew a walk in the 4th to break up the perfect game, then Francisco followed with a single but nothing came from it and they still trail 2-0 after 4.

    Sarasota update

Adam Rosales hit a solo HR to cut the deficit to 3-1.

    Dayton update

    Travis Webb, 5ip, 4h, 2r, 1bb, 8k.

Burlington is heading to the bullpen already, maybe this is where the Dragons can make some damage.
