    2 on, 1 out

David Ross up, hoping perhaps that his long national nightmare at the plate has finally ended. The way he's been going the last few weeks, I wouldn't be surprised to see that rain cloud start storming right over him. He fouls the first pitch off his foot, just because its humorous.

Ross falls behind 0-2. Really they should just start him at an 0-2 count and save the pitches. Amazingly, Ross lines a single out to left field and scores Hatteberg.

A glimmer of light for Ross? We can only hope

    9-2 Reds.

Jeff Conine is your pinch hitter for Mike Stanton. Personally, I'd have let Stanton take an AB here just for some giggles. Or maybe pinch it John Coutlangus and let him have a moment in the sun.

Conine drills a base hit into left field and, for the second time tonight, the throw from Duncan isn't even close to the plate.

Its officially a laugher, and I couldn't be happier.

    10-2 Reds.

That'd be great if Hamilton cranked one out, just to add insult to injury

No idea, but I could come back by asking in how many of those situations you refer to should the start have never been out there to start the mentioned inning.

I don't think the Reds leading the blown QS by their starter's category is by accident.
