    Waiver Wire Finds

Thought I would start a thread for those gems on the waiver wire that some might not know about.

    Kelly Johnson, ATL | 2B/OF

    AVG .294 | HR 4 | RBI 12 | OBP .435 | SLG .529

Johnson's production has been stellar thus far. Add his production to his eligibility at 2B and OF his value is even greater.

I picked up Hamilton and Fernando Cabrera, who could steal the closer spot from Borowski.

Kelly Johnson would have been on my team weeks ago if he wasn't a Brave. I refuse to have any Braves on my team.

Jason Frasor - closing for the Blue Jays while BJ Ryan is out. He'll be the closer until at least the middle of June, if not all season.

Orlando Hernandez and (to a lesser extent) Oliver Perez - both are pitching well at the moment. So what if they're both wildly inconsistent? It helps to be pitching in front of the Mets excellent defense, having the league's best offense to provide run support, and a good bullpen to hold leads. They'll get plenty of Wins.

Thanks! I'll keep my eye on Cabrera.

Most of my teams are short on RP. I picked up Joakim Soria of the Royals, he's only gotten 2 saves so far, as they've been using a committee, but I think he's starting to establish himself as their go-to guy.

I have Hamilton also...oddly, I had drafted Denorfia in the last round and Hamilton appeared on the waiver wire the day before Deno hit the DL.

Last year, Chris Duncan was pretty good for me off the wires.

I just picked up Richie Sexson off wavers in my Yahoo league. I think someone gave up on him too early.

Hunter Pence could be a good play as well as Adam Lind.

Mike Gonzalez could be a good pick up since the Braves place Bob Wickman on the DL.

How would you rate Lind, Duncan, and Ibanez for this season? I currently have Duncan and Ibanez as reserves and am thinking of dropping Ibanez to pick up Lind.

For me, Ibanez plays for a poor team. If Vidro is your 3rd hitter, you aren't doing well.

I'd kkep Duncan, even though his poor defense will cost you some at bats.
