    Monday 4-30 minor league updates

    Sarasota is up 1-0 in the first Jay Bruce, a day after going 4-for-5 with a HR and double, is 1-for-1 with a single. Gardner is pitching for Sarasota.

    Jay Bruce RBI single, 4-1 Sarasota in the 2nd inning. Bruce is 2-for-2.

    Where is the person who was slagging Bruce as compared to Maybin a few weeks back? Was that aronchis? Can't remember. Whoever that was, still slagging?

    Bruce needs to be challenged at AA. I think he is a lot closer to GABP ready than I could have imagined (like, mid-season call up 2008 close)...

    Hopefully, Bruce is the number 3 hitter the Reds need.

    Jay Bruce will become the first Red win to an MVP award since Barry Larkin (unless Josh Hamilton does it first).

    Jay Bruce is about as close to a lock as you're going to find in the minor leagues.
