And besides being a very good coach, with an incredible number of ML players having come out of his program, he's a decent human being. You can't ask to meet a nice guy. My brother was on faculty at Moeller and Mike was among many faculties members who regularly visited with my brother as he was dying from cancer. Really, a terrific guy.

Yes, congratulations to Mike Cameron. A tremendous accomplishment. I was fortunate enough to play for the man that Mike Cameron overtook with this victory, Coach Tim Engleka of Centerville High School. We played against Moeller once, that I recall, meaning that I played in a game that was coached by the top two coaches in Ohio high school baseball history. I'm very proud to have played for Coach Engleka and know the dedication and work that he put into his job and the type of men he made that went through his program. I can only guess that with this accomplishment that Mike Cameron had similar dedication and work ethic, and know that he produced quality men and players because of the reputation of Moeller baseball. So, congratulations again, Mr. Cameron. Truly a wonderful accomplishment.

The impressive thing about Mr. Cameron is if you ever mention the number of wins, state titles, or any other accomplishment he has had over the years, the first thing he does is redirect the praise. He will always say that he is where he is today because of the quality of players, coaches, and parents that have come through his program. To quote John Wooden, it's amazing what can be accomplished when no one cares who gets the credit. The sports world needs more individuals like Mike Cameron.

Second this. My uncle passed away from cancer in 2001. Both Cameron and Faust attended the wake. I was hugely impressed by both gestures, since my uncle had graduated 25 years before.

I think Cameron was the only teacher at Moeller that I was actually scared of. Intimidating exterior, but a class guy all the way.
