Ya know...props to Kyle Lohse. He obviously did NOT have his good stuff tonight, yet, still gave the team a QS.

    Major props!

Lohse had a decent outing, but he would have had to throw a shutout to beat oswalt. He responded very well after the first inning and he kept us in the game.

Provided Lohse gets pinch hit for, that's a quality start for him.

Only problem is, a QS doesn't always assure victory against Oswalt.

That was not a good throw by Dunn. There was nothing about that defensive play that was good. Not the lumbering over toward the ball, not the sloppy glovework, not the half-ass rainbow toss. A good thrown would have allowed BP to catch the ball without putting himself in jeopardy of being injured.

Dunn is mailing it in in the field, and I get tired of watching it.

Don't agree. The disaster would be playing Castro instead.

For NORMAL people yes...but Narron loves the scrappy veteranness (or is it veteran scrappiness) of Castro.

Although Lohse gave up that 3rd run, he showed me a little something tonight, especially after the 1st inning. Dude had no command of his stuff and still has kept his team in the game. Gritty performance. Unfortunately he's going against RoyO tonight.

Marty says Phillips went into the clubhouse and thinks he is done for the night

Me too. My first thought when I heard he was hurt was, "There goes the season."

Why? Just because he went into the clubhouse?

I don't buy that for a second. I think Marty is talking out of his rear end.

I was pleased with Lohse's outing until he walked Brad Ausmus to leadoff the 6th.
