It's pretty obvious that Griffey is a minus defender in right as well as center... he just doesn't have the legs any longer (and really he doesn't have a righfielder's arm either)....
"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. IMO he's getting terrible reads on the ball. I wonder if it's his eyes.

    Good pitching by Milton there.

    I don't believe I've ever said that.

I know I never have. Atleast not in a Reds uniform.

I think Milty must have slept with Kenny's sister or something. But in all seriousness, I have a sneaking suspicion that Griffey is taking his "demotion" to right field as a sign he does not have to give max effort all the time in the outfield, ala Bonds in left. Either that or he is just not getting a good read on the bat.

Considering the support he is getting, if Milty holds the stros to 4 over 6 innings, I will be satisfied.

I have a theory about Freel's approach when there are two outs, I am curious to see how he does here.

JR not playing 100% is like saying Bonds is clean.

Are we seeing a re-occurence of the slop throwing, nobody lefty shutting down the Reds lineup syndrome from years past?

BP and Freel fly out more than any other 1-2 combo I have ever seen!

i said this last night after the game.

Griffey = DH. His legs are too slow to even play LF/RF much less CF.
It is sad but it is the truth.
