Hitters who avoid outs are the funnest.

I'd like to see Hamilton a little higher, but overall I like that lineup. (I've pretty much given up on Dunn hitting second again)

It was bound to happen at one point or another. Stolen bases are a lost art anyway. I'm heading down to GABP to get wet and take in the game. Enjoy the game thread.

Did Narron tell Dent to put this lineup on the field? Narron is supposed to be attending his daughters graduation today and is not available.

I don't know if they are a lost art, but Hatte doesn't hurt us on the bases anymore than Freel when you figure in stolen bases.

It's to the point where I think Narron is truly ill. Sadly, it is no longer a matter of baseball philosophy with him--it has become a fetish for constant change.

Almost a perfect L-R-L-R-L-R-L-R-L... if only the Bleisle batted lefty.

    From John Fay:

Narron is trying to keep the lineup somewhat set.
He's trying to do what now?

For those fretting about Gonzo batting ahead of Dunn, it looks like that experiment is over. Frankly, I'm not sure why people got upset about it. He changes the lineup all the freaking time.

hatteberg batting 1st is better than hatteberg batting 2nd if it's any consolation.

That's 21 different batting orders in 29 games now, for those keeping track. But he likes to try to keep the lineup set.
