People wanted to see Homer Bailey start stiking out more hitter he k'ed 6 in 5 innings. He struggled tonight but still left with a 3-2 lead.Scratch that Bailey went out for 6th gives up a double then a sac bunt -now he's gone.

What the heck were they thinking by leaving him in? I mean even if he was on a 105 pitch count, he was still at 99 coming into the inning. Makes no sense.

The only reason why he is walking so many batter is, he isn't ready yet. Simple as that. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the light bulb flips on by June and he begins putting impressive outing after outing in AAA.

But the walks are just indication of being a young pitcher in a level that you are ajusting to.

Slow down on Bailey people. RIGHT NOW, he isn't going to touch Cincy in 2007. May even start back down in AAA in 2008 for a few starts.

I bet he sees Cincinnati in September. They will be out of the race and they will make a 40 man move to get him here in September to get a few tickets sold.

Jay Bruce update, 1-2 with a 2 runs, RBI and 2 walks tonight.
