Dayton fans enjoy this while you can. Stubbs and Valaika are gone by the end of June.

    Valaika's a freaking monster. He's hitting .354.

Excuse my ignornace, but was he the one with the uber long hitting streak in rookie ball last year?

He just got over .300 for the month of May though today. He came into today hitting .288 in May. He is hitting .301 in May through his first at bat in game 2. He is someone I really like. The guy hits the ball where its thrown, and more often than not, he hits it hard. Line drives all over the place.

I really want to take a trip to Ohio during the summer and see a Dayton game and a Reds game. I already plan on seeing the Dragons when they play out here vs. Kane County. Yeah, I know that's off topic, but whatever.

Stubbs now 1-1 with a walk, but he did get CS for the 5th time this year.

Stubbs is definitely no BJ. That is for sure. BJ completely washed out for day 1.

Cueto's final line says now that he only gave up 2ER's.
    So his line was 5.1 IP 5R 2ER 4K's 2BB's 3.53 ERA

I love how milb.com does that sometimes..... its always interesting when guys all of a sudden pitch an inning less and lose 2 strikeouts or something like that.

The VSL Reds' season started today. Apparently, it is now the Tampa Bay/Cincinnati squad. Last year, the Reds had their own team. I'm not sure how to tell which players are property of which organization though. Anyway, here is the box.

Here is the roster from last year.

I guess most of the TB/Cin players that are part of the Reds organization were on the VSL Reds team last year.
