No problem.
Stubbs reach on an error, Turner singled, and then Valaika followed with a 3-run HR, his third of the season.
3-0 Dayton in the first.
Webb: 1 ip, 0 h, 0 r, 0 bb, 1 k
Janish went 3-5 today boosting his average up to 281 along with 24 walks. Nice. How good of defense does he play?
Stubbs is 1-for-2 with a single.
Webb: 3 ip, 2 h, 0 r, 0 bb, 5 k
Stubbs was hitting .298/.429/.614 coming into tonight for the month of May. He struggled in April, but those May numbers are the types of numbers I like to see.
The Lost Decade Average Season: 74-88
2014-22 Average Season: 71-91
Webb: 4 Innings, 4 Hits, 0 Runs, 0 BB, 7 K
Sarasota is down 1-0 in the 5th.
Thompson: 4 Innings, 1 Hit, 1 Run, 1 BB, 1 K
How much of an unknown quantity was Stubbs's hitting before the draft? I remember reading that he was already a ML caliber defender, that he had good offensive potential, and that he had a problem with strikeouts. I guess what I'm asking is whether or not this May hot streak is an exception or whether we can expect it to be the rule.

Sarasota is down 2-0 in the 6th
Thompson: 5 Innings, 3 Hits, 2 Runs, 1 BB, 3 K
