    Random Thoughts

Call up some new bums, we're tired of these ones.

This is what Kansas City feels like every year at this time.

Maybe this is just the 2005 Tigers or the 1971 Reds.

Ken Griffey Jr., player of the last century and player of this week.

For $140 million more, we could have the Yankees payroll.

Do you think it's wise for Bob Castellini to be making decisions when he hasn't slept in weeks?

This is what the Marlins go through to win a World Series every five or six years.

If what Chris Welsh says is true, the mood in the Reds clubhouse is almost as bad as ours.

Where have you gone, Hal King?

Remember when it used to be the starting rotation that wore out the bullpen and every other part of the team?

I wonder if Jerry Narron ever just wants to chuck it all sometimes like we do?

Most of these men were relatively successful, reasonably intelligent members of society before they become managers of the Reds.

Do you think any trade for bullpen help at this time would fare better or worse than last year's trade?

It's a shame that we let Greg Rhodes walk; couldn't we have got something in trade?

I'm pretty sure this is what Cub fans feel like every September.
Will trade this space for a #1 starter.

Unfortunately my watch only reads about 10pm, the reds have a ways to go before the dawn

I would have to say better seeing as Majewski and Bray haven't even pitched in Cincinnati this year.

Too bad this slide coincides with FSN's expanded coverage of the Reds. Now more people than ever can watch more games than ever! Seriously, this team needs a makeover, and hopefully they will start with Mike Stanton, who in the month of May has appeared in 2.8 innings and has given up 10 hits and 4 walks. Add that up.

What is .8 of an inning?

It's the legal limit of innings that Stanton should be allowed to pitch each month?

Yeah, and it's based on the 5 outs per inning we often give away.
