compared to me, hard...
We'll win it all next year...
BA says 95-96 and BP has him a tick lower. Either way, he's bringing heat.
I saw this posted on another site from last year:
Because of the late start to his pitching career, McBeth is already 25, but his stuff is impressive, including a 92-94 mph fastball that he can dial up to 97 on occasion; he compliments it with a decent slider and a surprisingly advanced changeup that he throws with a lot of confidence late in the count

His changeup was allegedly compared to Trevor Hoffman's. How much of that is the similarity of both pitchers' career paths (converted position players) and how much of that is actual reality, I don't really know. I'm sure Billy Beane wouldn't have given up McBeth and a PTBNL for a player who won't even play until 2008 if every single scout that saw him thought that Marcus was the next Hoffman or Mariano Rivera.
Two above-average pitches, good luck with health, and a decent head on your shoulders is all you need to have a successful career in relief. Obviously, having all three of those factors in your favor is a mighty challenge.

Thanks guys for the info. I am excited to see him pitch and not when it just blow out he desreves a shot.
Well, here are some interesting numbers for 2007 minor league play 4 McBeth
18 innings
11 hits
6 runs
3 earned runs
3 HOME RUNS
6 walks
13 K's
If my math is right (yes it is a limited sample) every other hit is a home run, since he has gotten to Lville he has improved that to 1 hr every 4 hits.
My advice, the way Narron is moving the PenPals,
