The Wollstein family wants everyone out so they can build condos down there and they haven't been able to work out a deal with the holdout owners. So of course no business owner in their right mind wants to open up down there.

Shame. That used to be a hell of a place to hang out.

I finally remembered the name of that bar that I was trying to think of before: The Have a Nice Day Cafe. That's it.

The bar we went to was across the street from that. Neither probably exist anymore.

That was in The Flats. That place was fun, there had been one in Cincinnati as well.

HA! She was an attractive one, passing out those fliers, wasn't she?

It for sure made me want to go.

For those not in the know, the Gold Horse is type of bar that is subject to Ohio's latest wave of conscience legislation.

EDIT: I did not notice HAP's post time when I wrote this post. Oddly enough, someone was, uh, representing the Gold Horse right outside he stadium last night.

Take one of the nice young ladies into one of the private rooms and ask her what you can get for forty dollars. I guarantee there will be plenty of touching.

Panini's has good sandwiches. Other than that, I can't help you. There's been a bit of turnover in the area since I was last there.

Thanks for the Panini's tip. It was just a block from my hotel. Went there about 2 hours before game time on Saturday and the place was hoppin'. Ordered the small turkey and it was huge... two slices of thick white bread with the turkey, slaw and french fries. [You can ask that they remove the slaw and fries]. $6... they also had a tip bucket by the register - put $2 in (wish I had more money... those guys really earned their pay). Anyhoo... it was a meal in itself... if I drank beer this would be THE sandwich to have with it.

Thanks alot, I have some friends that wanted to hit up some clubs as well so hopefully we make it over that way. I will be on the Homerun porch for Saturday and Sundays game, wearing a Reds hat....should make it easy enough for ya to spot me.
