Narron rule number 7, break up those darn lefties.

Amazing that Narron continues to hit Conine fourth. And why not give Josh Hamilton some protection and hit him second, or at least higher in the order. Same with Dunn - move him up!

I boldly predict that Moeller will start hitting a bit in the games he catches and soon the cries will be for Moeller to be the starting catcher, ala Ross last year.

Just seems like something that could happen.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The Reds' righty cleanup hitter? Isn't in the organization right now.

Good thing we have Moeller up here as a 3rd catcher so that we can keep EdE in AAA

Moeller is our 2nd catcher.... Javy is our PH/emergency catcher... Nothing more, nothing less...

Moeller up tells me Javy is going to be used at a PH now....and not as a catcher, except for maybe in a very rare occasion.

I wonder if Moeller can help the bullpen pitch better?

    From Fay

SAN DIEGO - Several Reds are taking early batting practice this afternoon at Petco Park. Those participating: Ryan Freel, David Ross, Norris Hopper, Chad Moeller and Javier Valentin.

    Which left me wondering....

Through the first four games of this nine-game road trip, the Reds have been outscored 26-9 in the four losses and are batting .185 overall and .214 with runners in scoring position

So we have a roster spot going to a guy with awful numbers as a PH just to PH and not play the field

    Wise.

Didn't he have good numbers last year as a PH?

    Them boys sure are rakin'.
They need to draw more walks.

    Not putrid at 231 .273 .462, but this year he is 2 for 10 and his 2004-2006 numbers were .193 .264 .337
