    Ross's numbers are almost funny.

Bottomline, we don't see enough pitches per PA.

Even funnier, David Ross is 0 for 9 against Peavy with 5 K's. On the flipside, Chad Moeller is 3 for 8 with 1 K against Peavy.

What is Juan Castro doing on a major league roster? If we were to get back in contention this year we need to cut Castro and trade for some bench help if there's none in the minors.

Those numbers can't be right. They show that Hatteberg, in stark contrast to what I've heard ad infinitum, sees fewer pitches per at bat than people like Ross, Dunn, and Freel, whom I've heard ad infinitum don't know what they're doing at the plate.

Also note that Conine gives you a professional at-bat, and does it rather quickly at 3.4 pitches per at-bat. And it is amazing that Ross takes so many pitches (he actually has the highest pitch/pa) yet walks so rarely.

1 ball surrounded by 3 swinging strikes - seems about right to me.

I'm guessing pitchers aren't exactly afraid of piking it against Ross. When your OBP is lower than a bad players BA, you have serious problems.

    A .465 OPS.

His glove should freaking hum wizard songs when he wears it with a .465 OPS.

Just looked it up. There are 62 players in MLB that have a higher SLG% than Juan Castro's .465 OPS and 2 players (Bonds & Helton) that have a higher OBP than Juan Castro's .465 OPS.

    Sweeeeet.
