Thread about trade deadline targets @ SOSH

There is an interesting thread over as SOSH where they are discussing targets for deadline moves. The focus is on replacing Coco if he hasn't turned around by mid-season. A certain Reds outfielder is discusses at spots throughout. My favorite post is the one where it says that Reds fans would likely have a greater outcry about moving Freel than Jr.

Well at least some of their members realize Griffey no longer plays center. I would trade them Freel in a second for some high pitching prospects

The SOSH posters are some of the most informed individuals around.

    Not much gets by them.
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.

I'm curious to see how the trading deadline goes this year in that there could be a much larger nuber of selling teams this year than last. The divisional and wild card leads are getting bigger than most were last year which if trends continue would lead to fewer teams trying to push for the playoffs. That being said someone observed that a number of the bigger free agents to be ex Hunter, Jones are on teams in contention. I am curious to see what will happen with Jr if he keep this pace up. I would hate to see him leave Cincinnati but I would be curious to see how the market would approach him.

In the SOSH thread there are references to Bowden. He is Michael Bowden and was recently promoted to AA Portland I believe. Here are his stats:

Then again there is Clay Bchholz

Bowden's stock has soared this season. He'll probably be the first name asked for in any trade involving the Red Sox.
