Jim Bowden, Live Tonight On Clemson Radio

    Hey all,

So here I am at N.C. State getting ready for the final ACC series of the season. Clemson is making a nice late-season push back up the polls and this series could play an important part in whether or not they host a regional.

Anyway, I wander out to the concourse a moment ago, and lo and behold who is standing there holding court but Ol' Leatherpants himself - Jim Bowden, with trusty sidekick Bob Boone in tow.

They are here to look at Clemson lefty Daniel Moskos (95 mph, fastball, curve, slider, change), who is going to be a high first round pick. Pirates GM Dave Littlefield has been at Clemson twice in the last three weeks to watch him.

So we ask Bowden to come on the air with us during the broadcast tonight, and he agrees to do so AFTER Moskos is done for the night.

If you want to hear him live, you can listen online at www.wccpfm.com. If Moskos is on, he should be good for at least seven innings tonight, so with a 7 p.m. start you'll have to try and gauge the time.

Should be interesting, to say the least.

I'll try to post it on the site later on. I'll let you know when I do...

He came in early, in the bottom of the fourth inning. Actually gave some great insight into the draft, Washington's plans, etc. He knows how to turn on the charm....

Will try to get the audio up in the next day or two.

    BONUS!

Jose Rijo was with Bowden, and Jim brought him up to the booth. My opening remark to him was about his dominance in the 1990 World Series.

    His response?

"Ahh, back when I was young and beautiful."

    Gotta love Jose Rijo.

You need to get Marty and JimBo on together. That would be a show.
