Votto belts a solo HR and is now 2-for-2 on the day. Edwin followed with another single and he is also 2-for-2.

After a horrible month of April in which Joey Votto hit only .192/.347/.346 - .693 OPS, he has turned around and hit .394 with a 1.035 OPS in May to raise his seasonal OPS to a solid .848.

Yeah great to see Votto stepping up to the AAA challenge of late. Good sign.

I was in favor of sending EE to Louisville to regain some confidence. I think he's done that and now it's time to bring him back up to play 3B every day the rest of the season.

    What he said!
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.

    Where would Castro play?

If Votto keeps this up I'd love to see him up in July playing everyday if/when the Reds are buried.

    Agreed !
If this losing continues ......EE at 3rd, Votto at first, Macbeth/Salmon/Cooter from the pen.Dumatrait and Bailey in rotation and let these guys get the experience and be ready to go for the following season.

I just tried to listen to the Sarasota game online from MILB.com and got a phone dial tone, then I heard some girl say "and the doctor says he got a bacteria from him" then it cut off.
