We are going to be keeping our players from last year and adding on.

If one or more of your prospects from last year has left the system or you want to "release" them (and not cover them) and pick someone new up, then we can do that as well with this draft.

If there is someone that you drafted last year that you don't want to keep, let me know in this thread and we'll remove that player from your name and put them back in the prospect "free agent pool," for others to draft them.

If someone did not participate last year, but wants to participate this year, we certainly welcome you to do so.

I hereby would like to grant my unconditional release to Robert A. Stubbs and Josh Holden. Im probably going to pick up one of this years top draft picks.

As much as I poke around looking at minor leaguers I might as well take somebody. Uh, what does this entail actually?

Boyds: We draft minor league players in the Red's system (any level, including newly drafted and signed amateurs yet to be assigned to a team) and then post "updates" on them several times throughout the season. Some people provide daily and weekly updates, some provide monthly updates, some people provide an update towards the end of the minor league season with just a recap. It's up to you how involved you want to get with it and nobody's going to give you crap because you haven't updated your player info in awhile. It was fun to do last year and if you are interested, I'd recommend taking a player and trying it out. If you like it, maybe you can take a couple players next year...

I would like to participate this year. Probably just 1 or 2 players and see how well I'm able to keep up with them. :-)

Re: 2007 Prospect Draft - Information and Sign Ups

I'm thinking of having this draft the last Monday / Tuesday (25th/26th) of June. Does that work for everyone? I'm leaving for vacation first week of July and won't be back until the 15th. If you want to wait until mid-July, that's fine as more draftees should be signed by then. If not we can do it the 25th/26th. Just let me know which you'd rather do...

Re: 2007 Prospect Draft - Information and Sign Ups

    Guys,
We're going to have to push this back until Monday, July 16th when I get back from vacation. I am swamped with work this week and next week doesn't look like its going to be a lighter load as I get ready to leave for vacation starting the 5th.

So mark your calendars for Monday, July 16th. I'm going to find last year's prospect thread draft so I know which prospects everyone has now. I'm going to sticky that thread again. If you DO NOT want a prospect you drafted last year please post that in that thread so we know who is available to be drafted this year on the 16th.

Thank you, and my apologies for the delay.

I think it's better to have it later anyway. Hopefully Lotzkar, Frazier, and a few others are signed by then.
