Maybe in a month or so .386 3homers 7 rbi's in 11 games just isn't good enough. Narron wants a little more from him.

    I hate the Reds.

Why on earth take the best first base prospect in baseball (unless Billy Butler is now a first baseman) and play him in left field?!

I think they are a man short in the OF. Votto is the backup LF.

Is Dickerson hurt or something? He's been playing like garbage, but I don't think he is hurt.

You know, to keep Edwin down there to work on his defense is absurd. Has Reds management seen any of the big league team play in the last month? Half the team looks like they are playing defense with a blind fold on and one hand tied behind his back. Brooks Robinson could play 3B for this team and it would still be a poor defensive team. Besides, Edwin is going to account for five times more runs offensively then he will allow defensively. This team is struggling to score and there is no reason to have a major league caliber player tearing up AAA.
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

    Edwin: 2-2, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R, SB
    Votto: 1-2, HR, 4 RBI, R

    Together: 3-4, 6 RBI, 3 R, SB

    Not too shabby.

That is Joey Votto's second grandslam of the season. He is on fire right now and his power is starting to come around. Very very good to see.
