I would guess he'll be getting called up pretty soon.

Mike Bumatay on to pitch for the Bats.

Bumatay is getting ready to try and blow the game.

Walk, hit and then a walk to load the bases with 0 outs.

Wes Wilkerson replacing Bumatay. No outs, bases loaded.

Wilkerson gives up an RBI single to Abernathy. Bases still loaded with no outs. 6-2 Bats.

Michael Restovich with a 3 run shot to make it 6-5.

The Bats bullpen is getting lit up. Wilkerson is getting pulled after allowing a single to Abraham Nunez. Kershner now in.

Kershner promptly gives up a single to RedsZone favorite, D'Angelo Jimenez, before getting the third out on a flyout to CF. 6-5 Bats after 8 innings.

The Bats win 6-5. Ricky Stone gets the save.

    Votto 2-4 with 2 singles
    Dickerson 2-3 with a triple

Majewski's ready. He has little left to prove at AAA, although I wonder if he isn't being kept down there as the trade grievance goes through to make it seem as though he's still rehabbing or something.

Yeah, except the Nats and the NL aren't stupid and they will see his number of appearances and performance at AAA. So the Reds don't really help their cause by keeping him in the minors.

Time to see what the Reds have in Maj. No more injury excuses. Reds traded two valuable guys, let's get the two relievers back with the Reds and see what we have.

That's certainly an interesting thought. Or maybe Wayne just doesn't think he'd be any better than the right-handers in the current bullpen.

    Last night:
    Votto LF
    Keppinger 1B

    Tonight:
    Votto 1B
    Keppinger LF

Is there any reason he did that? It seems a bit odd. Why wouldn't he just start Votto at 1st both nights?

Good question. Maybe the Reds just wanted to see how Votto looks in the OF?

Honestly, I think he'll have injury problems for awhile. He threw a lot of innings for Washington.

About a week ago on either Fay's or Trent's blog there was a mention that Majewski missed some time after he returned from the death of his sister because of shoulder sorness. I'll try to see if I can find it.
