How long before guys like Salmon and Burton start taking the innings away from guys that are struggling?

I'd like it better if everyone in the BP just got their innings. Spread it around, keep everyone rested, but active. (well...you know).

    See if THAT works.

Really, the crime is surrendering a home run to Lopez from either side of the plate. He sucks. As does Coutlangus.

Junior gets a walk on his rep...coulda been strike three, but the ump went with Griffey's eye.

I'm not ready to make a final judgement on Coutlanges yet, but it's funny how the "sample size" doesn't apply to him, either way.

The Nats bullpen is pretty shaky too lets hope we can get two back this inning.

It's not a question of leaving him in to face Lopez. It's that Cout shouldn't have been out there at all. He pitched Friday, Saturday, Monday, an inning or more each time. And even I could tell he didn't have it after two batters.

This is why it is important to get Majewski and Bray up because Narron only has confidence in about two and a half relievers and he overuses them. Why have Salmon on the team, Narron won't use him except in blowouts. Same with Burton.

After last night I wondered whether Narron would use his fresh relievers tonight, Salmon and Burton in particular. He didn't and I think it was a mistake.

He shouldn't have been pitching. It's not good enough to just blame Coutlangus. If Narron weren't so obsessed with the lefty-righty matchups, he could see that his pitcher is completely gassed. Burton should have been in there throwing his 95 MPH heat, and have Coutlangus ready to go as a LOOGY tonight, if needed. Had he been brought in to just face Lopez, I'd put the farm on him getting him out.

Having him out there tonight throwing a full inning is not bright. He's pitched 4 out of 5 days.

This is not something new with Jerry.
