    Who do you look for?

Out of all of the Reds, which pitcher and position player in the majors or the minors, do you look forward to watching in the future?

My picks: Brad Salmon and Josh Hamilton
We'll win it all next year...

    Yep.

But I also look forward to watching Josh Hamilton, Johnny Cueto, Sean Watson, and Joey Votto. Who am I kidding, I love forward to watching anyone who I think will help the Reds win. Adam Dunn and EdE also if they still qualify.

I got to agree with that but I would love to see Johnny Cueto and Joey Votto. It would be great seeing such a good contact hitter like Votto who can hit homeruns.

All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Votto. Been a fav of mine since he was in Dayton. Pitcher...tough one. I like Travis Wood (also saw him a lot in Dayton).

Ben, I don't understand the Ken Griffey Jr. and Chris Perry comparison?
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

Apparently playing for 5 games in your career (Chris Perry) is equivalent to being one of the greatest baseball players of all time (Ken Griffey Jr).

I look forward to seeing Baily/Cueto and Hamilton/Bruce. Yea I am cheating a little bit but I think all 4 could be special.

I look most forward to Bailey and Bruce, of course. But I'm most curious about Sean Watson and Chris Valaika.

I agree. The two Dragons will have a good chance to be solid contributors in a few years. Valaika seems like he'll be one of those players that really don't have a flashy game or anything, but at the end of the year they have very impressive numbers.

Re: Who do you look for?

I know it's cliche but I'll go with Homer Bailey and Jay Bruce, both seem poised to be big time stars on the major league level.

If I was going with slightly more unconventional choices I'd go with Johnny Cueto and Chris Valaika. Cueto is interesting because he certainly doesn't have a great pitcher's build but his stuff is so nasty, it'll be interesting to see how he develops as he moves up the ladder. Similarly I'm interested to see where Valaika ends up playing in the field and if he can keep putting up those ridiculous offensive numbers.
