Miley was 27-43 when he got the ax.

I hope it's not that long around here.

As bad as this Pitching Staff is, Narron has had better Pitchers to work with than Miley was stuck with.

    Baby steps
    Definitely.

Not only that, but his pitches had much, much more "zip" than they had last year.

Only time will tell, but I'm looking past the ball/strikes because of sample size. At the end of the day, his stuff looked darn good, and he got the job done. Two things rare for this bullpen.

Im not sure how good he will pitch up here, but his fastball was around 94-95 mph at times and I don't remember him hitting that last year with the Reds.

Dropping 3 of 4 to the Washington Nationals is like......

Getting your butt kicked by Pee Wee Herman.

I beg to differ. One HBP, six balls, seven strikes, still lacks a swing-and-miss pitch.
I wouldn't say he looked very good, but I would say he looked a lot better than last year, and there is reason to hope he can help the bullpen. 94-95 is nothing to sneeze at. We only saw 1 slider, so it remains to be seen how that pitch will work for him. At the very least, I am relieved that he's got his arm strength back -- the shoulder is not toast.

I like the guy better than Coffey.
