    I respectfully disagree.

I would hope the expecations of him would be lowered based on the results the 2007 Reds have produced to this point, but I just have a feeling the kid would be pressing, trying too hard, pick a cliche and hurt his development.

Let him consistently get AAA and AAAA guys out at a better clip and maybe we'll see him in September at the very earliest.

Until he relies less on his fastball, is able to spot his curve better, and continue to develop his change, he's just not ready.

Maybe as a thrower he's ready, but as a pitcher, he's far from ready.

Last night Homer showed at least at AAA he can throw strikes 76 of 101 pitches were strikes. He fanned 9 and walked 0 in 7 innings; until Sweet sent him out in the 8th when he threw 5 pitches and allowed 2 hits Homer had allowed only 3 hits for the game against a team which featured 6 players with mlb experience and the White Sox top hitting prospect.

My understanding is that he IS spotting his changeup and curve for strikes highlifeman. He's ready.

He has to be able to do better than 0-5 and 6.55 ERA that this team has gotten out of its 5th starters (9 starts - team is 0-9).

You would think, at least. If they're holding him back because of the "super two" arbitration....then say that. Say it's a business move. Don't act like we're stupid.

If Bailey isnt ready, neither is Lohse, Saarloos, or Belisle.... Bailey up, end of story...
