    Saturday 5-26 minor league updates

Sarasota, Louisville, and Dayton are all underway. Dayton is playing a doubleheader.

Stubbs is 1-for-1 with a single.

Didn't Dayton just play a DH?

Yes, they did. They had 4 games in a row rained/snowed out I believe and this is the time they get to make them up.

So yesterday they brought Daniel Guerrero from EST to pitch one of the games. Any moves today to help get through the DH?

Catcher Tony Esquer was placed on the DL after being run over at home plate. It was a cheap shot.
Jake Long was called up from extended spring training.

Watching Louisville on Gameday, Votto works the count to 2-2 and then linesout to centerfield. Even his outs are lineouts.

Very sluggish night for the farm teams.

The offense has BEEN sputtering. I think it's officially stalled. Shutout four times on the road and a 3-8 record. Not only do they no longer have the best record in baseball, but have been passed up by the Sarasota Reds in the organization and after a 29-9 start don't even have the best record in the MWL anymore. With all of the games coming up against Lansing and West Michigan, I wouldn't even say the division title is a lock. Far from it.

I don't get it. I know that Louisville is short on outfielders and that this is probably just a temporary thing (dear Wayne, please don't make Votto an full-time OF), but can't they stick a AAAA guy in the OF for a few games. Votto needs to work on his D at 1st.
